Handmade Christmas Ornaments

Bring the family for a hands-on clay experience designed especially for kids and their guardians. During this workshop, each family will create seasonal ceramic pieces using beginner-friendly techniques. Together, you’ll explore texture, shaping, stamping, and decorating while enjoying a relaxed, memory-filled experience in the studio. No clay experience is needed — just curiosity and creativity!

This class is perfect for parents, grandparents, or caregivers looking for a unique, creative activity to share with their children. Come ready to create, get a little messy, and have a festive time!

💰 $60.00 enrollment fee for 1 Adult + 1 Child. (Door fee is included in the price)

💵 Family Pricing

$60 = 1 Adult + 1 Child

(Includes materials, clay, tools, glaze, and both firings)

Additional Family Members: +$25 each

(Each paid participant will create their own set of 6 ornaments.)

What you will learn:

  • Introduction to clay materials & tools

  • Hand-building & slab techniques

  • Discover texturing & carving techniques

Create your own handmade set of ornaments to keep!

Your class includes professional glazing by the instructor, OR you may return for an optional $10 glazing class if your family wants to add color themselves.

🎨 Glazing Add-On Class (Family-Friendly)

  • Glazing Class — $10 per participant

    If your family would like full creative control over the finishing touches, you may return for a hands-on Glazing Class after your pieces are bisque-fired. In this session, you’ll choose from a variety of glaze colors and learn beginner-friendly glazing techniques. Kids especially love this part — it’s where their creations truly come to life!

    Your $10 glazing fee covers:

    • Unlimited access to studio glazes

    • Use of brushes, tools, and glazing materials

    • Instruction on glazing methods and color choices

    This optional class is perfect for families who want to be part of every step of the process. If you’d rather skip glazing, professional glazing by the instructor is already included in your Family Session fee — no additional cost.

    Please note: children must be accompanied by an adult during the glazing class as well.

PICK UP: Handmade Ornaments will be kiln-fired and ready for pickup by December 1st!

Family Session Policies

  • Ages: Recommended for ages 6 and up

  • Supervision: A parent or guardian must stay and participate with their child(ren) at all times

  • Seats: Due to space and supply planning, only registered participants may attend (no unpaid siblings/observers)

  • Pick-Up: Finished pieces will be ready for pickup in 2–4 weeks after firing. ALL Ceramics are due by December 1st!

Refund & Cancellation Policy

All sales are final after registration. Due to limited seating and preparation of materials, no refunds will be issued for cancellations or no-shows. If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to another participant. Please notify us in advance if you choose to send someone in your place. Weather Policy

Oklahoma weather can be unpredictable, and the safety of our participants comes first. If a workshop must be canceled due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled for a later date. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled session, you will receive a class credit to apply toward a future workshop. No refunds will be offered due to weather-related schedule changes.
